A riches composed of wind and water… The only such site in the country!

The visit of the Moulins de l’Isle-aux-Coudres site constitutes a cultural and historical experience of Island life.

The presence of two mills on the same site translates our ancestors particular way of ife on the island.

In 2006, a new air-conditioned reception building will offer you a showroom of popular art highlighting Isle-aux-Coudres customs and lifestyles.

Furthermore, a shop and a rest area will help you take time to sample our various home-baked products.

You have the choice between visiting the site accompanied by a guide or at your own pace.

The miller and his team will provide you with invaluable information both of historical and technical.

We really do make our own flour!

Production is concentrated in the water mill, which is more spacious and easier to operate. We can therefore explain the milling techniques more comfortably to the visitors watching the operations.

At the shop we offer freshly milled wheat and buckwheat flours in different sized formats as well as an assortment of quality goods.

• Clothing
• Souvenirs
• Regional fare
• Even homemade wheat based   soap, made here at the mill.

Near the entrance, the traditional clay oven gives off the delicious aroma of freshly baked bread. No wonder, our bread is being baked right there!

We hope that during your visit you will have the opportunity to taste our buckwheat bread and several other kinds we make. A real delight!

For your pleasure during your visit, we offer you a vast picnic area where you also relax. New original activities will be offered throughout the season. Watch our Internet site or contact us for details!!!
